This beautiful memorial was built to honor the 16 men from the Waialua-Kahuku area who gave their lives for their country during World War II.
The names of the fallen are carved into a plaque with the tribute to those "who gave their lives that the rest of the world may live in peace."
The memorial was dedicated July 4, 1947.
The memorial stands near the edge of the beach park overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
Admission is free.
Hale'iwa Beach Park amenities include picnic tables, pavilion, restrooms, grassy areas, and sandy beach.
